Step 1 – Positioning the shower enclosure panels
Initially, focus on the channels that will be used to fix your panels to the wall, and make sure they’re an appropriate distance from fixtures such as shower heads. Use a spirit level to ensure that they’re vertical, prior to positioning the channels at the corner edges of your tray.
Step 2 – Placing the shower enclosure panels
Using your electric drill, create plot holes in the wall. This will allow you to insert wall anchors and screw the channels to the wall.
Step 3 – Decide the point of access
You now need to decide on which side of the shower enclosure to place the door. Consider surrounding fixtures such as radiators or towel warmers. You might even have to find an appropriate location a comfortable distance from a freestanding tub. After confirming this, position the side panel that will remain permanently in place accordingly, and fit it in the appropriate channel.
Step 4 – Fitting the shower door panel
Fit the door panel into the other, remaining channel.
Step 5 – Fixing the panels together
Either panel should now be positioned on the outer edges of your shower tray. Using the corner as the meeting point, follow the instructions included with your enclosure to fix the two panels together.
Step 6 – Putting the panels in place
Place your panels in the appropriate position, and, using your screwdriver and the supplied fixings, screw them into place.
Step 7 – Fitting the door handle
Simple – fit the handle to the shower enclosure door.
Step 8 – Sealing the deal
To finish off your shower enclosure installation, seal around the outer edges using silicone sealant and your sealant gun. Pay close attention to ensure you avoid accidentally sealing the inside edges.
