Concealed Shower Valves
Concealed shower valves, as suggested by their moniker, are hidden behind shower enclosure tiles. Only the trim plate and handles are visible. These type of valves offer a neat, streamlined appearance, masking unsightly plumbing and pipework in the process. There are a wide variety of concealed valve designs on the market, sure to improve any bathroom look.
One thing to consider before opting for a concealed valve, though, is the recess required behind your tiling. You’ll typically need to create a recess depth of around 1000mm, or alternatively build a thin stud wall if you don’t have that much available space. If you need access to the valve after installation, the handles are easily removable to expose the cartridge, which can then be removed for replacement or cleaning.
