Great shower seat
Great shower seat, very stable and convenient. I bought it on this website 4 years ago and we still love it. Great customer service.

Nice product and assembly
Slim, functional, and attractive design; I 180lbs+ with no deflection; wood quality is above average and has weathered the shower well for 12 years now; mounting brackets should have been made of SS (seeing some pitting and corrosion at year 8-9 of 12) - use your own stainless steel, large capacity, pan head screws; arms and set screws above average quality.

Quality seat
seat looks great. appears to be well made. As the other reviewers commented the bracket covers are plastic with a chrome finish. I do have some concerns the plastic may break at some point. It would have been nice if the brackets were a metal/chrome combo. I have not installed the seat yet

Sorry it is so orange
We were shocked to receive this 2 days after ordering. We won't be installing until next month when our remodel begins. It looks very well made although the 'chrome' is plastic and coated. My biggest disappointment is the orange color. I contacted Hudson Reed and they said if I did anything to the wood it would void the warranty so be sure orange will not conflict with your decor. It definitely will mine. We will know better about the product once we have it installed.

Will buy another one for the next shower remodel
Well made and attractive product except for the orange tint. Took it apart/sanded it down and applied a clear coat of rubio oil - now it looks fantastic. Chrome covers are plastic. Price is very good.

shower seat
It is beautiful, although a little more of an 'orange' tinge than I had hoped for.

Build quality 4/5
- Ordered it online
- Good value (compared to similar products in the $600-800 range)
- Only issue was with the round metal parts since they were made of what seemed to be plastic, unlike the metal of the bench itself.

Installed over six years ago and still looks terrific
This was installed in my shower in February 2007 directly opposite the shower head. I do swipe it with teak oil once a year (ish) and clean the "chrome" bits frequently as I have hard water. There has been no degradation in looks or functionality in that time. Anchors are into stud wall making this a very solid seat.

Good looking seat, take care installing it.
I like this seat. It looks good, feels solid. I found the screws need pilot holes because one of them broke and two stripped going into a solid wood backer with my impact driver. However since the brackets have 4 screws, that wasn't a huge concern. There is nothing to retain the seat when flipped up, but it doesn't feel like it wants to fall down. Time will tell. If it hadn't been for those screws I'd have given it 5 stars.
